Enya is the clown of our group. She continues to entertain us with her antics; and her very best friend is our frenchie girl, "Shiner". I am not sure Enya will ever really grow up, although judging by her size you would guess she is much older than she is. We imported Enya with Rolex from the kennel Emberez in England for her bloodlines. Enya's mother is Emberez Aphrodite who is a sister to the famous Emberez Apollo; their mother is one of my all time favorite bordeaux's Belle Starr for Tex Red a.k.a. "Anya". We believe Enya is going to be a very special girl when she is fully matured; she is of the old fashioned type bordeaux that we are trying to get back to. She is a very large female with great substance and bone, but she is not "overdone". She has a clean cheeked, trapezoidal head with great expression. Enya's body is low and wide. She has a deep chest and huge width of shoulders. Her body also resembles the old style dogues with a SLIGHT concaved top line as well as her concaved shape in her front. Enya is part of our mission to improve the breed here in the states with sound, good tempered, CLASSIC TYPED Dogue de Bordeaux.

FLASH: ENYA FINISHED HER AKC CHAMPIONSHIP IN TWO WEEKENDS!!!! HER FINAL MAJOR WAS AT THE EUKANUBA CHAMPIONSHIP IN DEC. 2008 WHERE SHE BEAT ALL THE CHAMPION MALES AND FEMALES!!!!!!

Below you see a younger Enya; in these pictures she is anywhere from 10 months to 14 months. Enya just keeps getting better and better with age. Enya is truly a prime example of the Dogue De Bordeaux the way breed originators meant them to be; she is a tribute to her breeders; the ever accomplished Emberez Kennel in England.

Truthfully, before we even saw her, we literally begged and pleaded for this girl. It has always been our belief that it is the girls in a kennel that make up the back bone a succesful breeding program. To own great male is GREAT, but to find an exceptional female is special. For Enya, it starts with her bloodlines. Her Mother and Grandmother are two dogues that represent our “ideal” Bordeaux! Her mother Aphrodite has only produced two females and we feel so lucky to own one. Her father is Lockerice Solomon, who some are saying is one of the best Temple Felson sons yet!

Her bloodlines are second to none, and we think her looks are the same! Again, this dogue has Bronson lines in her, and her Grandmother is Anya (yes, I like Anya a lot!!), Bronson’s sister.

Enya is maturing even better than we could have imagined, and she resembles both lines of her pedigree so much. She is a SOLID girl, with incredible strength and athleticism for her size and mass. She is a muscley 140 pound female, and although she is as big or bigger than most males; she still remains feminine.
